Pain Is Present

Everyone is not well off not everyone grew up the same not everyone has a roof over their heads or joy, love & peace in their hearts everyone hasn't flown on a plane or travel to the nearest stadium to watch a NFL game not everyone knows what love is but everyone & I mean everyone knows pain; from the weight of it that crushes souls to the suicidal thoughts that places tags on toes… pain hurt heartbreak we all know it an emotional distress that can leave your mind body & soul at an all time low the pain that makes you wanna go to sleep early or fast forward times thirty (like a dvd player) to get to a new season, a new chapter, or new scene where pain is no longer existing but nevertheless its present here in this poem there where you read present in the bully at school poking fun at the kid who gets social anxiety in class when the teacher asks him or her to read aloud present when a daughter is sexually abused by her stepfather who beats his son til he bleeds because he's gay & the mother is nowhere to be found because for the 5th time this month she's OD'd on whatever pill she could find in hopes to escape the pain… do you feel it? The pain do you feel its all around you your neighbor, your siblings, your cousins coworkers that pain even when your feeling good can make those closest to you feel lame the pain of the team who worked so hard & still lost this weekend or the pain of the a young man on the sideline of that game who was a top prospect but because of an amateur gunman's jealousy is strapped to a wheelchair coming to grips with the reality he'll never be able to play the game, goosebumps rise, tears roll down his cheek, they bring him out to the 50 yard line stadium packed not an empty seat not a single person understands what he'd give to play this game called football just one more week thats a pain very few can understand an the word understand is an understatement cause even during his own standing ovation he's painfully reminded he can no longer physically stand...

See pain is present like a box under a tree on Christmas wrapped in a bow (y'all don't hear me) pain is present like the 24 hours in between yesterday & tomorrow (third times a charm) pain is present ,eating it was PRE-SENT so you & I's hope could exists we can't comprehend the amount of agape it takes to endure a pain we can't comprehend… all the stories of pain I've listed up to this point pail in comparison of the innocent One who took upon His shoulders the racist, defiant, evil, hypocritical, devastating brokenness of humans thats why I believe understanding pain is so pivotal cause pain is heavy yes but love is even heavier especially love that is unconditional; an that is why "Hope Exists, Agape Validates You." is so personal to me because without a doubt i experience pain but its thru pain i can truly see the beauty of the struggle & The Beautiful One who created, loves, accepts an validates me.
